I thought it was a good show. Joey is fighting all these changes, just as viewers are, but it's time for them all to move on to the next phase. They can't remain together forever! That said, I think Rachel will think over this new job long and hard, but decide to remain near Ross, for Emma's sake. Ross is with her 50% of the time it seems (although viwers rarely see her now). So she'll look for a new job to stay in NYC. Or maybe Ross will go with her? But then I can't see him leaving behind Ben. Whom we never see anymore either. Or Carol for that matter. But I'm getting off track here. I knew Mark was going to show up again and that scene in the kitchen? I swear I said something to the effect Chandler did - deja vu moment - to my daughter. And then he said - oh no, it's 7 years ago.....
I didn't like when Rachel couldn't remember her coworker's name and then b/c she was fired, she didn't even bother to care to ask what his name was. That was mean. And that's what I don't like about Rachel now. Wish she'd go back to that ditzy, dingy girl who showed up in a wedding dress sometimes...

Great show last night. Now it's nothing but reruns until April.
Isn't Dakota Fanning, who played Joey's little playmate Mackenzie, just adorable when she's sardonic? I hope she has a long and successful career.
ER was by far the best of the Must See TV shows last night. I was nice to see a different side of Frank. The actor who plays Frank (Troy Evans) was in the ER pilot as a cop named "Officer Martin" and Frank the clerk's last name is Martin. Not sure if they meant that to happen since the pilot was in '94 and Frank didn't come to the ER as a clerk until '00. But it was a nice way for it to come full circle.
I wish tank boy would have had a chance to take out Morris. (I know, that sounds mean, but he's a fictional character for crying out loud -- I wouldn't wish it for real.) How did Morris make it to med school? They've never had such a ditzy, clumsy oaf as a student, resident, and/or nurse before him. He's worthless.

Shawn - I thought ER was good too. I wish tank boy would have taken out that sorry excuse for a doctor too. I don't where Kerry is these days, dealing with colic I guess, but Mark Greene wouldn't have put up with his bed side manner or inept ways. He'd be long gone. But perhaps writers are trying to illustrate there was bad docs out there like this - makes you quite leary to go to ER anytime soon I tell ya! I didn't realize the actor who plays Frank was in the pilot. I like Carter was shocked that Frank has a special needs child. I think I said whoa out loud when his wife and child came into the ER to see how he was after surgery. And I have to say Neela (sp?) is really growing on me. I think when Frank comes back to work, she'll be more understanding of his personality and rude comebacks. But honestly his attitude does not belong in the working environment either, in 2004. Decades ago, maybe he would have gotten away with it. But now, Kerry should be getting on his case too.
About Friends, I knew some things were coming in last week's ep. When Mark appeared, I said to my daughter - I knew he was coming back. But I could attribute that to TV Guide and not just the spoiler link. But when Rachel said her job offer was in Paris, Nina gasped. I said I knew that was coming too. She said - MOM!!! What else do you know? Wait, don't tell me. I said that was it, I can't read that spoiler link anymore. It's ruining the remaining episodes for me. And I want to be surprised. Oh I did say one more thing I knew - that Janis is either buying a house next to C/M or already is a homeowner. I told Nina this after she wondered if Janis would pop up before the finale. Even if I didn't know this, I would bet money we'd see Janis before it's all over.
Which led us to say who our favorite 7th Friend was. After careful thought, we both said Richard. But Janis is a very close second. And if Mike had been with us longer, he could be the 7th one.
Well, enough Friends/ER critiqueing from this fan.

Well, folks, for once I actually enjoyed a new Friends episode. Joey showed a surprising character "growth spurt" when he finally accepted Chandler and Monica's new home. I haven't been reading any spoilers anywhere, so the return of Mark was a bit of a surprise for me, but I'm glad that his marital/parent status was quickly established so Ross wouldn't spend any of the remaining new episodes dwelling on him.
I liked how Mike handled Phoebe's weird name change. It's about time after all these years that somebody finally stood up to her and showed her that she can't have her own way every single time. I don't want to be mean here, but Phoebe is a character I've never really liked much.
Purists will hate me for this, but I think Rachel should take the Paris job, with OR without Ross. It's an amazing opportunity for her, and it will help provide closure for her individual storyline. In my personal opinion, Ross and Rachel have dawdled WAY too long over whether or not to get back together, and if they do now, it would just seem too unrealistic to me.
Since it's now reruns for the next few weeks, I probably won't be watching until there are new episodes again.

Good points Bunch. While I'm a big R/R fan, I think the R/R romance has been on a back burner far too long. If there were 10 episodes left, perhaps this couple could be saved. But even I, who has wanted them together from Season 1, doubt it will feel realistic. What I don't want is for them to settle for eachother. I guess what I want is Season 2 back - that spark they once had. I'm not about to give up just yet but the interaction they displayed while Rachel's Dad was recovering from his heart attack, left me wanting so much more.
I watched last night as the first fans' favorite episode was revealed - when Chandler botches a proposal to Monica. 5 minutes in, I realized this has to be the top #6 Episode choice, not #1 (a very good episode but not exactly #1 material). Does anyone know if I'm right? My favorite episode of all is - TOW Ross Finds Out. My daughter voted online for these top 6 picks, I forgot to. Dang.

Just bumping this up because I finally got to see the most recent new episode (I was not home the night it aired, but I taped it). I don't think I have laughed so hard in a long time as I did over the whole name-change thing between Phoebe and Mike. I am still laughing over the exchange where Mike said "I love Princess Consuella" and Phoebe said "I love crap".

John - that was so Phoebe like and very funny. Mike just gave it right back to her! At one time I wanted her with David, but now I find that Mike has really grown on me.
Now we have 5 remaining fan favorite episodes counting down to the #1 favorite episode voted on by fans. Last week we had Chandler's proposal to Monica, or I should say botched proposal. My daughter and I were surprised that would make #6! I need to ask her what 6 she voted on.

April 1st's Favorite #2 Episode, viewer's choice, was The One Where Ross Finds Out. Only my all time favorite Friends episode!!! I was happy but thought for sure this episode would be #1. My daughter Laura and I were wondering what would be #1, if this episode, which IMHO stands above the rest as a pivotal moment in the show, was chosen as #2. I predict #1 will be Pilot.
Thoughts anyone? Again, I ask you if you're not a Friends fan, please be kind and don't spoil it for the rest of us. I know there are many people who just don't like this show, but some, like me, really do. And will miss it dearly!
