Gallup poll shows Kerry and Edwards beating Bush

Maybe it's "just me", but has anyone else noticed that the Democrats only consistent message is "We have to/are going to 'beat Bush'"?

If that's all they've got, it doesn't play well with me...sounds more like all they REALLY want is POWER, and have nothing concrete to offer.

I've noticed this, too.

I remember Clinton's speech at the Democratic National Convention in August of 1992 when he kept starting his sentences off with "I will and I do..."

And, there's Dean's farewell statement..."We're going to stay in this race, and we're going to defeat Bush, whatever it takes!!!"

"Whatever it takes"...like in 2000, rounding up drunks and homeless in Milwaukee, giving them false ID's, money and/or food to stack the decks in the booths? Dems getting a federal court order in STL to keep the polls open after legal closing "so lines of people can vote" (this was reversed 2 hours later, but the votes STOOD)? People showing up in Phillly, NYC, CHI with voter cards displaying deceased people's names to vote Democratic?

I remember it all...and it doesn't surprise me that the media conveniently didn't.
