HOWDY! I update our website every Thursday now...there's some new photos on the 2nd page, "ENJOY!" BTW....you'll notice in the 2nd to the last picture just how THINNED the forest looks, their FINALLY doing some MAJOR thinning around the permiter of town as a fire break!

Great pictures Dennis! The forest does seem to be a bit thinner.

Thanks! YUP......the forest service, Apache tribe has told the environmentalists to "SHOVE IT" and are thinning to 40 trees per acre instead of the 200-300 per acre. They are leaving a 25% canopy cover which will allow for the native species of flora to FLOURISH, we're liable to see stuff that hasn't been around since the late 1800's!

That is awesome that they are doing that. It will more than likely decrease the possiblity of wild fires in that area. I don't understand the tree hugger's platform one bit. They are really clueless.

Tree huggers just want trees....
They don't want loggers building roads and stripping the land of trees...
What they don't understand is if you do not manage your forests and keep them healthy they will burn......
They have tunnel vision on a subject that needs a much wider view...
