LOL, I've also watched Friends off and on, and every Thursday (specially last week!) I kick myself for not watching when I know the end is near!!

BTW, have y'all taken the Friends test on Emode? It's pretty funny, it matches your personality to one of the friends, and it said I am most like Phoebe! I love her so I'm cool with that!

Linda!!! Look who posted on our Friends topic! Hey there Bunch. Ditto on the good post, lots of insight there. I still love this show though, so I'm not quite ready to say goodbye. But I know it's time to end it. My daughter asked me who my favorite character was the other day. And after careful thought, I decided it was probably Chandler too!

Well, anyway it was great to see a post from you Bunch!

WHAT??!!! Oh that Bunch....why I'll.....let's see, pester him until he caves and starts posting? I could find that old pest hat I used to wear, I'm sure it's around somewhere.....LOL

Now Bunch 2005 is 10 months away. You can't just do that to us, don't you see? That would not be nice. And you are ~such~ a nice guy..... :-)

Mary, I have enjoyed friends periodically for all these years. My loyalty to that show and ER was left behind in Illinois back in 1997, but nevertheless I enjoy the characters.

The good news, of course, is that it is likely that Friends will be in syndication for many years to come. Like MASH and Seinfeld, among others, we'll be able to catch up on it all again someday.

I watched the last episodes of MASH and Seinfeld...so I will watch the last of Friends, too.

It is time, I think.

LOL, Mary! I didn't say he was gay. I said pseudo-gay -- because of the running gags and innuendo. I know he's not gay...he's married. :)

Shawn!!! LOL back at ya. Loved your last sentence - I know he's not gay....he's married. :-)

I do wish he'd stand up to Monica though.

ROFLMBO! I finally got a chance to take the "Which Friend are you" quiz --

<img src="http://www.stomps.org/Quizzes/Friends/results-joey.gif" border="0">

Questions:

What's your favorite episode?

Who's your favorite "friend?"

Who's the best looking friend?

Who's your favorite couple?

Which friend would you most like to date?

Which friend would you most like as your roommate?

Which friend would you most like as your sibling?

Who was your favorite guest-star?

What was your favorite Phoebe song?

Shawn - the trouble is I don't have one clear-cut Friend! Maybe it's Chandler....I don't know! I do have other faves, I'll have to go take that quiz.

After I saw Joey's pic, it was if he was saying....

"How you doin'?"!!!!

*gasp!*

Do NOT read the spoilers website!!!! I'm warning you! It' just totally spoiled it for me! Well, not really...I'll still watch. :) But curiosity got the best of me and I had to look. Apparently there will be a few weeks worth of "fan's favorites" before they air the finale. But it gives a LOT away about the finale, so all I can say is...STOP reading it for Friends. For ER, it's not as big of a deal.

Mary -- How you doin'?

Shawn - I'm doin' just fine!!! LOL

Thanks for the warning, I know for a fact I will not read the spoilers for Friends. It would just ruin it for me. Just this morning my daughter Nina and I were talking about tonight's show, getting all excited. And she said - yeah Mom, Ross and Rachel maybe get back together. I said - and how long have I been waiting for that to happen? I should have thrown a party!!! I'll be crying, I just know. You'll know what I mean right off when I type what I said to Nina next - Ross and Rachel and my Bobby and Pam, and while I'm at it, also my Gary and Val.....I've been wanting a reunion for years. Too long!!!

So what did everyone think of last night's show? Wasn't exactly the reunion I'd hoped for.

:D I thought Joey was hilarious trying to speak french and Phoebe was getting mad because he couldn't repeat when she was teaching him simple words. Then at the end when he "drank the milk in 10 seconds" that was great!

I thought Joey was hilarious too! I can see how his show will go now. But without the other 5, who I know for a while I'll miss, it will be a challenge. The milk scene was great - very Joey like! You can drink a gallon of milk in 10 seconds?!!! LOL

You can really tell CC is showing now. Monica never dressed this way before! Shirt tail hanging out, etc.

What I miss is the way Ross and Rachel used to interact years ago. Ross has remained the same but Rachel has a different way of speaking now. She makes that confused or huh look a lot now - can't quite describe it. Her voice sounds more scratchy, my daughter thinks it's because JA smokes. I don't know. But years ago she would look up at Ross in adoring ways, even if she was mad about the break thing, you could tell deep down she still loved him. Now I don't know about them. I want a reunion but the character of Rachel just seems so different. I hope that makes sense!

I really hate to sound negative, but as the show is winding down, the writers are still not giving me much to work with.

Last night's episode seemed implausible to me on more than one front. Rachel's dad had a heart attack, and went to the hospital. I cannot believe that when this happens, the only two people to go see him are one of his daughters and her on/off boyfriend. I realize he's split up from Rachel's mother, but does he have no other family at all? No siblings, cousins, etc. Rachel's sisters may be flakes, but I can't believe they wouldn't go see their father in a case such as this.

As it stood, from the perspective of using this as a plot device to string us along even further on Ross and Rachel, it was weak. There wasn't any new ground covered that hadn't been done previously in any of the "will they get back together?" storylines. . .

Joey trying to learn French. . .well. . .all I will say is that even though it was funny, it was over the top even for Joey. A complete stretch of credibliity.

The Monica/Chandler subplot was the best of the three. I enjoyed it immensely. It kept well within established character lines for the show.

As I've stated before, I've enjoyed Friends all these years, but I hate to see what is happening as they bring it to a close. . .

I just hope the remaining new episodes are better.

Agree Bunch, they need to come full circle with these characters. And involve the entire group. I didn't think about that hospital scene until you pointed it out - the entire 6 should have been there. And Mike too - he would have been there to lend support to Phoebe, who in turn would be there for Rachel. What often happens in long-running sitcoms, are the writers get lazy. I was expecting more of an effort between Rachel and Ross, not sympathy sex. Oh please! I also hope the remaining four episodes are much better than last week's show.
