Thursday Winter Weather for NC and VA

Anyone have an opinion about the the precip type/amounts for NC and VA for Thursday?

Currently, the central region of NC is under a winter storm watch. Snow is expected to fall after midnight and continue until midday Thursday before changing over to rain. NWS is calling for a possible accumulation of 2 to 4 inches of wet snow. Temperatures for Friday will climb to 52 F. (can you say "muddy mess"?)

Glad I didn't wash my car after the last snow event in January.

Looks like you will at least mix with rain.

I doubt Raleigh goes over to rain until the very end and will remain snow for most of the event. Could be 5-6 " on the ground by the time that happens.

Must be nice to have a real winter storm heading in that direction. We forgot what that is like here! Oh well, I will be going there for vacation soon so it doesn't matter.
