FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFET TODAY GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A
KILLEEN...WACO...CORSICANA...ATHENS LINE. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
AMOUNTS BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHEAST PORTIONS
OF NORTH TEXAS BY THIS AFTERNOON...WITH AMOUNTS TO 1 INCH FARTHER
NORTH. SOILS ARE SATURATED IN THE WATCH AREA WITH RUN OFF LIKELY ONCE
HEAVY RAIN OCCURS.
OTHERWISE...ENOUGH COLD AIR MAY SEEP IN ON BACK SIDE OF THE DEPARTING
SYSTEM LATE TONIGHT OVER AREAS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 20...FOR A SMALL
CHANCE OF A BRIEF CHANGEOVER OR MIX OF RAIN WITH VERY LIGHT SNOW...
BEFORE ENDING DAYBREAK THURSDAY MORNING. NO ACCUMULATIONS OF LIGHT
SNOW ARE EXPECTED WITH...LIMITED MOISTURE...TEMPERATURES ABOVE
FREEZING AND WARM SOILS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...
NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

Gotta love that "Warm Soils" phrase. That reminds me of what our local met kept saying in March '93....
At first he started out saying all rain. Then, after it changed over to sleet, he said sleet, but no accumulations. Finally, after it changed over to snow he said "The soil is too warm. No accumulations." 9" later, I think he was wrong LOL.
Man, it's a good thing the soil was too warm for accumulations, huh?
Wouldn't it be nice if this system could crank up like the March '93 system did, minus the problems it brougth to Florida.
