KC Snow

#1 Postby simplykristi » Thu Feb 05, 2004 11:32 am

Hi All,
I took a half-day vacation so I could get a ride into work. Watch them close the office early today. :) We have at least three inches on the ground here in my part of the KC area. It is still snowing. I will post pics after I get home later. We have to run an errand after work so will post the pics sometime this evening.

kristi - Go to http://www.webshots.com and create your own picture album. You can do this my clicking on "Go" under "My Photos". You will have to join webshots (it is free). Then you can upload any picture from your computer. After you do this, go to your public page within Webshots.com. Then copy the link from that page, and paste the link into a post here. Then we can all see your pictures! :) 8-)

I've been getting reports of 1/4 mile visibility in heavy snow in KC recently. More heavy snow is possible for the next few hours for the KC area.

Keep it safe and enjoy!!!

My dad and I had to drive from KCMO to Overland Park KS to pick up a dog we are adopting. I got some snow pics from the car. :)

Kristy:

I bet the roads on the Missouri side are hideous while the Kansas side is clean!!! I will always remember in KC that as soon as you crossed state line, the roads were great-get on Wornall, and you have snow for 5 days after the event!!!! How much do you have there??

Isn't that the truth! I grew up out near Belton and remember the difference between the two states. :D

Senorpepr:

Yea, it is kind of a running joke in Kansas City-I just moved to Lawrence from there last year and lived in KC (accept college) my whole life and it has been that way for ever!! By the way, and I am a KU nut, don't listen to all the radio talkers saying Mizzou won't make the tournament-they will be there and prob. do quite well. I was at the game Monday, and they are ready to bust out-are you going to Linc. on Saturday?? Good luck the rest of the season, accept for early March when we get be sacraficial lambs for the closing of the Hearnes Center!!!

My dad and I were on I-435 from 87th in KCMO to Roe Ave in OPKS. The highway was not in too good shape on either side of the state line.

Looks like 4 to 8 inches for the greater KC area.

I wish I could make it to Lincoln this Saturday. However, I must work all day. :( Regardless... I can't wait until March. That's when Mizzou will shine. Maybe I'll make the KU-MU game on the 7th.

Gonna waste your cash to go watch NU - MU?! Won't even be a game with how poorly nebraska has played. (Exceptions - oklahoma, texas they played well in losing efforts)
