I'm starting to think that it will be a miracle if we score even 6" This system really isn't that impressive for us...

Just arrived back from evening classes. Earlier this evening, I thought I would be driving through binding snow. :-? To my surprise  , not a flake. I think they may need to undercut the amounts to about 4-6 inches and perhaps replace the warning with an advisory. Plus, the air just does not have the moist feeling to it; it is quite dry.

WOWT seems to have the most out-on-a-limb forecast team. 8-12?  They are going to get pretty worried, I think overnight. Can't wait to hear ol' Patrick Powell's daybreak report. It might be enlightening!

There is no way, bro', with it's delayed start that we will see 12, albeit even 8, inches of snow. First of all, it is expected to be a long event with light to moderate (occaisionally heavy) snowfall. By the time the system is east of us come Friday, the NWS I think will win out with their 6-8 for the metro. :D

I'm surprised Jim Flowers is still going w/ 8-12. He claims that the system will slowing retrograde NW into the area tomorrow morning. That's when the event will kick off with the heaviest tomorrow evening.

I'm just not that impressed. Nothing has fallen except for a handfull of flurries. Furthermore, if you look at nat'l radar, the majority of the energy is in the Ozarks... well off to our east. On top of that, the tstms in the south is stealing the gulf moisture that we were depending on. Unless the systems slows and some decent moisture wrap around.

We'll see. If we're going to flirt with a record, might as well exercise "excellence in all we do." Let's scatter the record for most snow depth.

Well... now I'm starting to get reconvinced. It's possible to get a good deal of snow, but it'll be more of an event for tomorrow night. Airman... I'm sorry to say, but it looks like it school for you tomorrow. Friday... we'll have to see...

this is just the initial band coming through...the storm system is still coming out of Colorado...new snow will develope tomorrow, a much heavier snow, and be in by afternoon. What I'm thinking COULD happen, is that they cancel school just because of the trecherous driving conditions for after school..or they close early? :) not that it matters :| because i only have to go half a day anyways!
