Tropical Update: 2 Feb

:rarrow: 1) TC Elita (09S). Currently at 19.3S 42.6E (245nm W of Antananarivo, Madagascar) and moving SE at 3mph. Winds are 65mph. Elita has recovered nicely throughout the previous day. Furthermore, Elita is expected to continue strengthening as it stays in the Mozambique Channel with warm waters below and favorable outflow aloft. Expect Elita to top out at 24hr at 75mph. Thereafter, Elita will weaken as it interacts with land.

:rarrow: 2) TC Frank (10S). Currently at 17.2S 67.1E (645nm SSW of Diego Garcia) and moving ESE at 12mph. Winds are 145mph. Frank has peaked in intensify and is now expected to slowly weaken along a mid level subtropical ridge. The 48hr point of the forecast has Frank as a 115mph cyclone.

:rarrow: 3) TC Linda (11S). Currently at 19.3S 94.9E (430nm SSW of Cocos Islands) and moving SSW at 6mph. Winds are 35mph. Linda is currently dissipating over the waters of the Indian Ocean. The remnants of convection is displaced well to the south of the low level circulation -- which is now completely exposed. JTWC has issued its final advisory on Linda as she is not expected to regenerate.
