My father died in July 2003 at age of 77. He was cutting the grass in April and had pains in his chest, they though it was cardio related and spent a couple weeks pursuing that angle. In fact it was a multiple myleoma cancer which essentially attacks the bone and bone marrow. He went from being apparently healthy in April to dead by July 22. My mother-in-law died February 2003 after having multiple strokes 9 months earlier. My and my wife were married 25 years in May 2003, I turned 50 in August 2003 and my daughter turned 16 in October. When it is 10 or 20 years from now, we will always remember 2003-a lot of good and very bad.

Man, sorry to hear that, WEATHER53. Sudden deaths are much harder to cope with and deal with ... I had 2½ years to prepare for my father's passing. It's still been extremely difficult, but again, I was surrounded by the people that I love and care about. January 2004 has definitely been filled with some very good but extremely bad moments ... and I hope to find some stability for the rest of the year, though I KNOW that this will likely end up being the most difficult year of my life.

Will they recognize you at work and let you back in?
You know how to reach me whenever you need to. Take care my friend. Prayers still flowing from West Houston.
I don't know, actually, but I did run into one of my customers and she said, you work at the James Island Post Office, don't you? and also you had really long hair before, right? ... Yes, and Yes...
And I will definitely call you if I need to, David.
