Well, I just got this computer last month! I supposedly have a video card that is more than I need. And it has been working fine since I switched to 1024x768 a few weeks ago. I think someone must have accidentally changed something.....if only I knew what it was.

I changed from small font to large font j, and that didn't fix it. *sigh*

If you got it locally then I would call them. The vidoe driver may have gotten changed which would give you the indications you're getting. I'll be on AIM tonight and maybe I can talk you through a couple of things :-)

Thanks Marshall! I messed with it forever and could never figure it out. Called local computer shop this evening and the guy said he'd come over tomorrow afternoon after I got home and see what he could do. I guess I can live with 256 colors till then.

Thanks for your help though, and j. :)

My brother is visiting (from Melbourne, FL) today and in the last hour or so he changed the resolution to 1280 x 1024 and I have a 19" monitor.

It took some time getting used to 1024 X 768, so 1280 x 1024 won't be too bad. :)

I like how I can see more threads on the screen at the same time.

Well, I'm now using 1024 X 768 and it's so much better than 800 X 600. It only took about a dya to get used to it but it's much more convenient now.

It would be nice if the default resolution was 1024 X 768 and perhaps 1280 x 1024 on flat panel and larger monitors.
