Mike once again my heart is very heavy for you. What a wonderful moment you had to share with your Father. Nothing comforts me more than knowing your Dad was surrounded by love and was not alone when he went Home. God Bless your Father, he was definitely a crusader but now an angel free from all the pain.

If there is anything I can do please let me know. We may not be there in person but we are there with you in thought and prayer. ((((HUGS))))

Stormy, what a wonderful parting gift you gave your father. As hard as it was to do, you gave him the final peace he was seeking. May God bless you and your family and may He watch over you at this time.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Mike. It saddens me even more because it reminds me of when my dad died just over a year ago. I know how it feels, then; to lose a parent who I was close to. Take all the time you need off of the boards to heal and grieve. We'll see you when you get back. Feel free to PM me anytime as well.

Oh SF, I'm so sorry! I'll continue to pray for you and your family and God will help you get through this time. You miss your father, but he doesn't feel any pain anymore. I know he was proud of you...and you've been a wonderful son to him.

My thoughts and prayers are with u SF-And know that he is in a much better place free of pain-be grateful for ur fond memories of ur father as many of us do not have many with ours. Your father seems to have brought up a very intelligent and cool person.

Hey, Mike, my condolonces on the loss of your father. You had a chance to say your goodbye and it sounds like you have some peace about it. That still doesn't make it easy. You and your father are in my thoughts. Thanks for sharing that.

My thoughts & prayers are with you. I have been there, and the pain is unbelievable. In my life, my father was my hero, the man I most respected in my life. I always hoped I could be half the man he was.

In time, it will become easier, pain will fade, but your memories...they will be stronger than ever...and trust me..that is a good thing!
There is something about being with a loved one when they pass that stays with you for the rest of your life.

I've often thought that God puts some of us in this position for a reason.

Oh my. I am so sorry for your loss. I can understand what you are going through. In Dec 1998, I witnessed my fathers death and he had died so suddenly, I tried to help revive him with CPR before paramedics came. They couldn't help him either. So we have something in common. Be strong and keep the family together.

I'm very sorry to hear about this SF. I know you had been mentioning before that things weren't good. I wish I could offer some advice for dealing with this. Nonetheless, my thoughts are with you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss! Sometimes those who love us will hang on just to keep us from going through pain. It was probably such a relief to hear that it was okay for him to go home. You are a good man!!

Thanks for the wonderful comments, and yes, it's very hard to deal with, but I'm surrounded by people that I love and care about, and Becky has been wonderful to me, and I'm glad that she was here with me ...

I'm gonna be ok through all this with the strength and courage that everyone has generously given to me, and once again, I want to thank everyone here for caring ...
