Another fine day in N VA :)

#1 Postby Anonymous » Wed Jan 28, 2004 4:59 pm

Today we enjoyed a high temperature of only 31 degrees which was 4 degrees under our progged highs. Thank You Snowpack and strong NW winds, which were blowing at 20 to 30 mph with a few gusts over 40mph. There was a half-inch of snow on top of our ice crust which was blowing around. Our low last night was 18. It was partly cloudy today with cumulus and stratocumulus.

Tonight we look forward to clear skies and enhanced radiational cooling from the snowpack. The dewpoint is 15 degrees, the current temperature is 27 degrees and falling.

It's going to be a clear, refreshing night here in the Mid Atlantic.

It's really falling off now................the snowpack is enhancing radiative cooling tonight. It's 103am and down to 15 degrees, down from our high today of 31 degrees (actually, that was yesterday! lol!).

It's nice and crisp. The snow looks great with sparkly frost on it! :)
