Cold siege cancel?

#1 Postby WEATHER53 » Mon Jan 26, 2004 5:44 pm

For DC area NWS has temps Thur-Sun into 40's, pretty good discussion about 36 hours ago regarding cold air plunging, wonder if that is off or if NWS is off?

Well, temps in my area should be in the mid-30's Thursday-Friday, and in the upper 20's (at best) Saturday-Sunday. Not brutally cold, but not warm either.

Three days ago D.C. was supposed to be 50 today according to NWS D.C. It is 23 right now with freezing rain and later 1-3 inches of snow. Every time they have a discussion they are cutting temps by a few degrees to a category.

if it doesn't warm up soon in NY it will be impossible for boats and ferries to travel the water ways. I have not seen ice in the bay like this in a long long time.
