Interesting Snippet from CHS WFO AFD this afternooon...

#1 Postby Stormsfury » Sat Jan 24, 2004 2:50 pm

AT THE PRESENT TIME DO NOT SEE ANY PRECIP OTHER THAN LIQUID TONIGHT
AND SUN...BUT A LITTLE CONCERNED IF WEDGE STRENGTHENS ENOUGH SUN
NIGHT THAT WET BULBS COULD LOWER INTO THE 30S IN BERKELEY AND
DORCHESTER COUNTIES...WHERE THEY MIGHT SEE A LITTLE SLEET.
BUT NOT
PLANNING ON INCLUDING THIS IN THE FCST AT THIS TIME WITH LOW
CONFIDENCE. WILL CONSIDER ADDING ISOLATED TSRA OVER THE COASTAL
WATERS SUN NIGHT THRU MON NIGHT WITH WEAK INSTABILITY.

This shows JUST HOW Cold air damming works and is ALWAYS underforecasted by the model guidance ...
