So I'm expecting nothing? We have it in the forecast, first time my attention has even half-perked in two weeks...

KOW - would love for you to be right, as I'm firmly in your 6-12" region, but so few forecasters are looking at this being more than a few inches, that I'll remain skeptical until and unless it happens. In particular, Gary Grey, IMO the best forecaster for the NE I've seen (he's been great for the 3 years I've been reading his site - among others, he nailed the President's Day storm last year several days out and he nailed the last 2 here: predicted us in the 4-8" band and we got 6" a week ago and predicted us in the 2-4" band over the weekend and we got ~3"), is only calling for a mostly 1-3" event with a narrow swath of 3-6", probably including where I live (man, we've been in the right place last year and this year), although he doesn't have a map up yet, as he's not confident enough yet (too much model variability).

Not from this particular event. However you may get some from a couple of other systems right before this one and right after this one as another system drops in from the nw which should be fairly juiced up as it swings by to your wsw and south later next week. This system for later next week could dump a nice swath of snow from the Midwest to the OV/Lower lakes and then the MA/NE. Way too early to speculate on who gets what on the system later next week.............
