this would be a great set-up for the mid-atlantic and portions of the northeast.
IGNORE the temperature profiles...the GGEM warm bias will always cause the model to improperly forecast 1000-500 thicknesses.

Would CAD be in place? Is there going to be a High funneling cold air south along the Apps to the east? How strong will that high be?

i think you've got this all wrong...the PV is reforming across northwest canada in a more climatologically normal position. it IS NOT the system which the GEM has running into the lakes. which is utter BS. it would be much further to the southeast and then jump to the coast.
but yes a miller type B SECS/MECS indeed it would be.
FLguy wrote:im not going to beat around the bush here JEB...i think you will get your blizzard this winter but im not sure when...there will be several chances in the next few weeks. but one perhaps two 8"+ events may not be out of the question for DCA.

This is winter---And I just want to enjoy a few precious snow jebwalks, while enjoying Christian songs. Alabama's songs are very, very good for snowstorms too!!! You should try them sometime!! I have many of Alabama's hits deeply associated with winter cold already!!!
C'MON PAC JET and severely NEG -NAO: Duke it out----And don't you DARE let me down Greenland Blocking!!!
Bring me my precious 36 inches of snow.
Just one more precious snow-filled jebwalk.
Because the next time we have a good winter, I will be an old man.
