Chris,
I believe Thursday's system will not bring significant snow. It could bring a light accumulation from Philadelphia to Boston--perhaps several inches if everything came together but likely less in at least part of this area.
The weekend could see another system and this holds out the hope for a somewhat larger snowfall. Right now, best prospects for that snowfall would lie from southern New England southward. There is much uncertainty with this system.
So, is there a sure bet big snowstorm on the horizon? No. Is there at least an opportunity for an appreciable or larger snowfall? Yes. Let's see how things evolve (models and synoptic pattern) over the next few days.
