You sure put out a nice presentation!! 
That 1857 cold blizzard also was remarkable as it had an eye feature where snow tapered off over southeast New England and the sun came out for a couple hrs. and then snow returned as it moved north and NW winds took over. It also showed that when a storm becomes so intense that all snow and cold hold firm right down to the area the low pressure tracks(which was right over SE New England).
