Not sure if i am correct but i think wwbb is now going into the process of moving. With that said here are a few things i would appericate if everyone can do while visiting here which applies to Our members and WWBBers. Try getting along if you see someone who you dont care for then dont read thier post. Someone gives you any kind of sh!t then report it to one of us mods (me for instince)or the admins and we will deal with them. Just dont or try to avoid going at it back with them on the board here unless its to do with the weather ofcourse. Yea i know you guys like to play and forecast/Debate hard which is fine have at it. Try to keep the foul language down as well such as you all have been doing as of late at wwbb. Our members already here that post on regular bases please try to keep it at a normal tone as well and dont go after them either. More or less what i said to them applies here as well. Same for everyone. Now lets discuss the weather.

BTW im leaving this a sticky for just today. Im sure everyone will see it and will remember it.

Enjoy!

Harry - good advice. Yes, it looks like WWBB is having problems. For me, it has either been very slow or not allowing me to access it altogether.

If they are taking the board down at this time with the unfolding events then their accountability is even worse than it has already been. I want to remind that overthe last two years it has previously been down at least once and I think twice for 1-2 weeks as a new server was deliverd via pony express and the result was-problem not solved.

Would seem like some updated notice about this could have been posted. Tough being dependent on a business that could give a sh*t about participant considerations. Worst thing about it is everybody scatters now to about 3 or 4 different boards and although this is my preferred site it has heretofore been underpopulated.

I don't think they are moving yet, the problem is that it fails under heavy usage. IT seems to be on it's way down now.

My take is the problem is the database and not a server move. The server is up and running. Pings fine. But when you try to load thread, create threads, post a reply......all thing go to the crapper. They are using MySQL which should be ok but in my experience can have problems with MEM/MAPI leaks.

They ran great with around 250 users on the forecast area. Not too many BB's get that kind of traffic mixed in with all the graphics etc. There is some type of problem in relation to the BB Application and the database application. JMHO.

I almost wish this site could be tested to the same loads just too either prove a point (they need better BB software/configuration) and further more validate the known configuration used here.

I know some of the S2K management might not like that idea and not to worry it's doubtful it would ever happen. I think most of the WWBB crew simply does not post or communicates in small circles via IM when the board is offline.

No heavy usage today so you would be wrong. The heavy period was yesterday. See my post for what is likely the problem.

I was able to access WWBB for several minutes in the last half hour or so, then got the site was down and will be back in a few minutes message. Since then, about ten minutes ago, everything is fine again (at least for now).

No notice because there is no move in progress. If they took the server down it would be DOWN. Pings fine. Database access is screwed.

Nothing. That reply was ment for rick. You see your interface here is a little different and I selected the wrong thread when replying. I have done that a few times here.

Sorry.
