Spectacular Weather in Northern Virginia Today!!!!!!!! :)

#1 Postby Anonymous » Sat Jan 10, 2004 1:02 pm

This is, without a doubt, one of the finest days for N VA this winter.

We have sparkling clear skies with some of the finest weather in a long time here. I went outside this morning to sample some of the nicest air in a few years here in the Woodbridge, Virginia region.

Our overnight low was truly spectacular at 4 degrees above zero!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOO---HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Today we have a truly stellar day in store......................

Our winds are N at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts over 20 mph. This is truly glorious arctic advection folks :)

The dewpoint is -2 degrees.

Our current temperature is 14 degrees, at 1:00 PM!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

We are progged to top out at 21 degrees this fine afternoon.

We have patches of snow on the utterly frozen ground. Many local bodies of water are frozen but good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are cordially invited to come to northern Virginia and enjoy this wonderful weather with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Tonight, another wonderful night is on tap, with lows in the lower single numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

You need to move to Alaska..:).....seriously tho, from my DC experience, I doubt the local bodies of water you speak of are frozen much deeper than a few inches, with less than 96 hours of sub freezing and sometimes above freezing temps. I hope no one tries to go ice skating based on that 'frozen but good 'observation.
Praying for your snow next weekend!:D

Yep, I should have indicated that our local bodies of water are frozen over to a depth of only half an inch or so.

Today has been a glorious winter day for Woodbridge!!!!!!!!!! :)

OUR HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS ONLY 19 DEGREES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

WOOOOOOOOOO--HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
WOOOOOOOOOO--HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
WOOOOOOOOOO--HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Not only did we have a truly fine winter's day here in N VA, but WE HAD A CRISP HIGH, ONLY IN THE UPPER TEENS THIS AFTERNOON!!!!!

***Jeb dances around, enjoying his cool stellar winter weather while blasting Christian worship songs FULL-BLAST, including the Christian songs he associated with LAST WINTER'S SNOW AND COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!***

We only topped out at 19 degrees this afternoon, replete with a dewpoint of only -5 degrees. The sky was a crystal cerulean blue, with wonderful crisp N winds at 5 to 10 mph, gusts to 16mph. The barometric pressure is 30.40 and steady.

The temperature has already fallen to 16 magnificent degrees!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOO--HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

All in all, a truly spectacular day here in the Mid Atlantic region!!!! :) :) :) :) :)

We are looking forward to another cool evening here, with lows likely to fall well into the single digits, and possibly (hopefully) down to near zero.

Tomorrow, not as spectacular, with highs near 32 degrees and lows in the teens to low 20s, but nonetheless still nice winter weather!!! :) :) :)

Our current weather continues at 16 degrees, with a -7 degree dewpoint and crisp N winds at 7 to 14 mph, with gusts to 21mph. None of the snow melted today, not even the snow on the sidewalks.

This was a very, very, very nice winter day here in N VA!!!! :)

Our low tonight is now progged to be 2 degrees!!!!

Temperature has fallen to 15 degrees, dewpoint is -7.

Thus ends a wonderful winter day, with a splendid evening on tap......

I will be conducting another jebwalk tonight at about 9pm local time, and I expect the temps to be in the upper single digits at that time. This will indeed be one of the chillier jebwalks I have taken in recent years. The winds will be north at 5 to 12 mph and will likely be even stronger out on the western Outer Rim of the Potomac Mills Mall tonight. This will be a very crisp jebwalk.

I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I just got back from my jebwalk tonight.

This jebwalk was not refreshing, cool, or crisp.

It was cold.

The temperature is 9 degrees, with a dewpoint of -3 degrees.

We had light North winds at 5 mph.

I enjoyed the jebwalk, but it was certainly a cold experience. My hands did get a bit chilly, even through those gloves I wore. That was indeed one of the coldest jebwalks I have ever walked in about the last 10 years. I walked 2.1 miles in 45 minutes.

Now I know what they mean by the phrase, "Jack Frost nipping at your nose."

Very interesting jebwalk tonight, but I am beginning to wonder what that jebwalk will be like if it gets even colder next week.

I am beginning to look forward to some snow :)

There's nothing quite like a snowy jebwalk!!! :) :) :)

Well Guess what?

We plunged to 4 degrees above zero AGAIN last night in Woodbridge.

Last night I enjoyed a rather cold jebwalk :)

Today we have SSW winds and our high will be about 33 degrees. Not a bad day in the Mid Atlantic.

Tomorrow it will soar into the 50s, with overnight lows ABOVE FREEZING believe it or not. Tuesday will also be near 50 degrees folks, bask in our heat wave while you can,

BUT don't get too used to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will turn cold on Wednesday with possible snow over the Mid Atlantic on Thursday.

The Official Jebcast Weatherplex forecast for snow amounts here in Woodbridge is.............................

1 to 4 inches in and around the Dale City/Woodbridge region. Light snow could begin in the FA late Wed night/early Thursday morning and the snow could become occasionally heavy during the day. The track of this storm will be everything.....................I will update these amounts as needed.
