Temperature 30, dewpoint now 21 degrees. An area of snow is overhead. Still no flakes, but I am monitoring the situation. Some more flurries of light snow to our west may move east later to give us a coating. We'll see.

Temperature is now 29 degrees. The dewpoint is 24 degrees. Snow showers are to our east. But there are more radar echoes off to our west and the area of snow is filling in to the west, so it looks increasingly likely that we will see some light snow later tonight. If it starts by 115am, I might get to see it. The ambient temperature and the dewpoints are only about 5 degrees apart now. We should have snow reaching the ground later tonight. I am forecasting a dusting to an inch of snow accumulation.

Congratulations SE Virginia and North Carolina, you guys (and gals) are seeing some nice snows about now, judging from this radar!
Woodbridge has an inch of snow!!! LOOKS LIKE I BUSTED LOL!!! I very much doubted we'd see an accumulation! We are observing a light steady snow here at 27 degrees/25 degree dewpoint. Winds are now NNE at 5 to 12 mph.
Can you believe this? Tonight we are in for a low of 12, then tomorrow 22 to 25 for a high temperature, then lows tomorrow night will be near 7 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have received a very nice 3 inches here so far in my area and what a beautiful sight!! 
Gradually tapering off later this afternoon....
Went to work this morning and made it there okay and because it was a SLOW day (customer-wise) the supervisor and manager let their employees go home after a half-day.

The National Weather Service In Sterling Virginia Has Issued A Wind Chill Advisory For Tonight And Early Saturday. The Advisory Includes The Baltimore And Washington Metropolitan Areas...Much Of Northern Virginia...The Shenandoah Valley...The Potomac Highlands...And North Central Maryland.
Low Temperatures In The Single Digits And Low Teens Will Combine With Strong Winds To Produce Very Low Wind Chill Values Overnight And Saturday Morning.
The Lowest Wind Chills Overnight Are Expected Across Northern Maryland...The Potomac Highlands And Northern Shenandoah Valley Where Wind Chills Could Fall As Low As 15 Degrees Below Zero. Most Locations Will See Overnight Lowest Wind Chills In The Zero To Minus 10 Range.

As a reinforcing shot of cold air drops temperatures into the 20s late tonight... any residual melted snow on roads and sidewalks will refreeze into patches of black ice... leading to possible travel problems overnight through Saturday morning. Anyone driving after midnight tonight through Saturday morning should use extra caution and allow extra time to reach your destination. Drive below the posted speeds... and be alert for potential slick spots. Keep a safe distance away from other cars... to avoid an accident if sudden braking is necessary. Bridges and overpasses will be most susceptible to black ice formation. Black ice is a thin sheet of ice that takes on the appearance of wet asphalt and is difficult to see at night.
In addition... blustery northeast winds behind the front in combination with the chilly temperatures will bring wind chill readings down into the single digits and teens. Those planning to be outdoors late tonight through Saturday should dress appropriately. Temperatures are expected to remain around or just below the freezing mark through Saturday.
