JEB!!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! WE ALL KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THE WEATHER IN WOODBRIDGE!!! You've posted it several times already today. You state the obvious when you say you are uncompromising and IT IS GETTING REAL OLD!!! If you were adding substantially weatherwise to the discussion I wouldn't be posting this, but all you are doing is crying about your weather and berating the mets who DO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT and are not posting just for you!!! You seem to have a pretty decent weather knowledge when you are not crying in your soup about your weather. Use it!! When temps are 20º-30º below norm(which they could easily be from what I have seen,)that is an ARTIC BLAST in any sane persons book!! SO PLEASE CAN THE BS about no Artic Blast. AS STATED ABOVE(AS IF IT ISN'T OBVIOUS)IT IS ALL A MATTER OF PERCEPTION!!! WE KNOW WHAT YOURS IS NOW OK?!!!! Here in Houston, we never got above 45º today and may not for a few days. To us that is cold, to you it is warm. Let's leave it at that and get back to true discussion of the weather!!!!

Thanks Flguy! I've been the SCEP (student meteorologist) here in Mobile and I am looking forward to going to Memphis (graduated and received the intern position there). It sure is hard to leave home though!!
My first day up there is January 14th. I think I may be getting a big taste of winter right off the bat!!

no problem dude...i can understand its kind of hard leaving home (in a big way)...but your also moving on to much bigger and better things so career wise so its absolutely a plus for you no matter how one looks at it. when you get up there im sure it wont take you long to become re-established (you will do just fine). i felt the same way (as im moved around quite a bit also).
I wish you the best of luck up there in memphis (ill also look for your AFDs...so let us all know what your signature is)...and im sure you will be an excellent Asset to their forecast team as you are here to storm 2k!!

Thanks a bunch. I am definitely looking forward to working up there. The MIC is great and the others from the office that I have alraedy met are really good as well. I will definitely see a better variety of weather up there than I currently do here in Mobile. The possibility of actually seeing a good snowfall accumulation excites me.
I will let you know when I have my forecaster ID up there. I, of course, will continue to post here as well.

sounds great...and yes...you will see MUCH more variety up there weather wise and i certianly hope you see at least one decent snowfall (both for personal enjoyment and forecasting experience) beforethe winter is out. im not too familiar with the forecast team at WFOMEG but im sure they are a great group of individuals to work with...both personally and professionally.

WHO EVER SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE THE GREATEST COLD OF ALL TIME????????????????
This is absolutely ridiculous JX, i cannot take these crap shot posts anymore, the temperatures tell the story? O ok lets put it in terms of relativeness JX, lets see your normal high MUST be around the mid 40's if not higher, so we figure your going to dip down into the 30's for highs at least, wow JX we are looking at some deperatures of over 10 degrees there. THAT IS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE JX!!!!!!!!!!!! I think your right with the temps tell the story but apparently you just cant read it!
