very boring forecast!

#1 Postby thstorm87 » Sat Jan 03, 2004 3:49 pm

well right now the next 7 days and perhaps beyond looks to be very boring for the northeast and mid atlantic. Yes it may be turning very cold for a few days(tue-fri), but then it appears to be warming up some this weekend. And no snow in sight.

If we get the really frigid weather, storms will be suppressed to the south. If they are, I hope the South gets some really good snows!!

Next Saturday and Sunday could be the days to watch for snow in this area. They are bringing the temps down almost every new forecast.

The magnitude of the bitterly cold air may allow it to get down to the GOM Coast. The storms will be suppressed south. You folks down south do not get much snow, so I am hoping you get some snowstorms as well as very cold weather. :)

wxrisk says SECS for the Tenn. Valley and the Lower Mid-Atlantic. I live in central NJ and usually when the storms go south, I get some good snow. This winter looks good for the Northeast, more snow the better.

I hope that we get a snowstorm like in 1993 :) But with more snow along the coast. Darn gulf melted all my snow but 10 miles north of here they had 4 to 6inchs .

why say that, what models show that there will be no snow north?
I think here in central NJ, we could get good snow totals.

I would not agree with that at all, by the 10-14th areas south of Mason Dixon are also prime for snow due to gulf coastal storm possibly developing.

When are you talking about Jeb? The coldest day in our forecast is Tuesday with a low of 33 and high of 43, and 20% coverage of rain. Won't see any snowstorms on that day. :(

You mean this week Jeb or looking down the road a bit? It doesn't look like it's going to get THAT cold this week, but definitely colder than my 70's today!
