FLguy,

As it appears that you are hungry for snow, here's a photo from February 13, 1958:

I hope this helps (along with my wishes that the 18Z GFS works out).

I agree that the 18Z GFS is just wishing. It's a shame that it is.

with 534 DM thicknesses down to south georgia...it would be a nice set-up for northern florida...but its more of an example why the GFS should not be run PERIOD.

I agree that it would be a good setup--a rare one, too.

Without the GFS, from where would dreams of fantasy snowstorms come? ;)

As long as the GFS can raise spirits, it has value. Hopefully, at a minimum, you will get to enjoy some shots of cold that will remind you that it truly is winter.

I agree. The Euro looks somewhat impressive with Daytona Beach seeing just under 6C 850 mb readings next Thursday.

Yes and the GFS was similar in that respect as H85 temps get down to around +6C on WED (day 5)

http://www.weather.unisys.com/aviation/ ... 50_5d.html

the rest of the model output pretty much goes without saying in regard to the Northeast as the PV becomes SEVERELY displaced to the southeast of hudsons bay

StormCrazyIowan,

I'm happy to see that parts of the Midwest will be enjoying accumulating snow in the near future. The Northeastern U.S. will also be getting quite cold next week.
