The Trend is our Friend
However while I think there is some potential for a massive arctic outbreak, the noticeable absence of a -NAO sig as well as the continued presence of that pesky PacJet is enough to make me somewhat optimistic yet very cautious here. We also need to watch out for the SE Ridge.
Nice analysis SF as per usual.

Thanks, Jeb ... however, I think the SE ridge is gonna get beaten down ... it'll take a couple of waves to do that, but when it does ... LOOK THE ... OUT! ...

I hope you're right on that SE Ridge, SF.................
I'd really love to go out on a jebwalk some night soon and personally experience temps near zero or below with dewpoints around -20 and brisk 30 to 50 mph winds!!
Coldest jebwalk so far this winter season was made in a 31/7 Temperature/Dewpoint spread set-up with light winds, but I'd like to find out what a -4/-23 Temperature/Dewpoint spread jebwalk would be like.
It would sure be a far cry from that 77/64 T/D spread at OBX in October.

With a 516 dcm over N VA I would have to say--------It's a really cool, refreshing day in the neighborhood
Great sleeping weather with refreshing winds. Excellent weather, the kind that really makes it feel great to be alive!

They are and will continue to do so, which is the game is now to anticipate the models next move ... BTW, new thread about myself still standing by last night's discussion ...
