Merry Christmas to everyone, and a depression is a Christmas gift for the Western Pacific. It shouldn't become too strong, maybe just to like 65 M.P.H. and it should affect no one. Here's the warning.

The low will pass over the Philippines and they don't need the rain.

Actually, according to the newest advisory, the system will dissipate in a few days, probably not reaching the Phillippines.

The depression will weaken before reaching land but it doesn't mean that the rains associated with the low will diminish.

Are they sure it might dissapate. They did not strengthen Typhoon Lupit which then reached up to 165 mph becoming "Super Typhhon Lupit" down the road. Lupit ended up being the strongest storm in the West Pac in 2003.

I am positive it is going to dissipate. Most of the thunderstorms are gone now, and it is really poorly organized.
