Now, don't faint... but I too think that the country needed to see the President and hear what he had to say, even though it wasn't any different than what he has been saying. You could definately tell that this whole crisis has been weighing on him and I believed him when he said that he would rather have the UN's backing and not have a war at all. We've been reading that in the papers and hearing it on the news, and it was starting to seem more like lip service to me.

I agree Marshall and Stephanie. I think it was important that the nation heard what he had to say. He was very sincere and to the point as well. For those people who keep saying Bush wants a war, I hope they finally understand that he doesn't. He made it very clear. I'll go a step farther and say that anyone who still thinks he just wants a war, is not being logical and is just anti-Bush or anti-American...trying to stir up trouble. Sorry, but that's how I feel. He has given Saddam plenty of time to disarm!! He has tried to avoid war...and even tried a little too hard in some people's eyes. :?
