Updated November Summary from NHC
The National Hurricane has updated its November summary, including Odette and Peter. Interestingly, the track of Peter was extended back to the 7th, 2 days before it originally formed, and it was Subtropical Storm Peter between the 7th to the 9th. Also, they mentioned the banding eye feature there, and it may have been a hurricane, in their words. I think it will be upgraded when they finish the post-anaylsis. On a side note, do you think any other systems will be extended? Do you think they should extend Nicholas's track to include the renmants as a subtropical system, or push Ana's back a few days?

That's what the post-analyses dissect with our storms ... sometimes, they are found to either have developed earlier or perhaps, even later than suspected ... and likewise for the dissipation stages ... (and sometimes find evidence of stronger and/or weaker winds). Also in response is a "best-track" or the plottable smoothed overall curve ...
In fact, on the post-analysis of Lenny back in 1999, brought the winds 5 mph stronger, and on the verge of CAT 5 status (brought up to 155 mph on post-analysis and best-track data) ... and also the same this year with Erika being upgraded to a hurricane ... we'll see about Peter. Sure looks like it's a good candidate ... especially on this AMSR pass.
