Yesterday's snowstorm

#1 Postby nystate » Mon Dec 15, 2003 4:18 pm

Well, yesterday gave us in Watertown our first significant snowfall of the season, with 15 inches falling yesterday and through the night. Totals ranged from just a couple inches in the western counties near BUF to more than 30 inches in the mountains. Driving was very hazardous last night, I was driving northbound on I-81 and had to pull off because the visibility and roads were so bad. Numerous cars were off the road. Anyone think the storm later this week could do the same?

It could be similar, perhaps not quite so bad, best dynamics could be just to your northeast - or not. Consensus, at the moment, is for this to mainly affect I-81 and westward, then up through NNY and N NE. I'm a little skeptical that this will develop in a good location for a big snow for anyone south of Massena NY to Burlinton VT. But this is just my opinion, and there's a potential for you to get some shovel snow out of this.
