U.S., U.K. agree to warn Saddam
March 7 - In a last-ditch push to win U.N. support for war against Iraq, the United States and Britain are prepared to amend their resolution to give Saddam Hussein until March 17 to disarm, diplomats said Friday. The compromise comes in the heels of President Bush warning that he will seek a vote at the United Nations, even though he asserted the United States doesn&t need anybodys permission to go to war.

I totally disagree with giving a deadline...you might as well just lay your hand out on the table....bad move ..bad move. Don't be surprised if we get hit here in the US on or before that date.
I heard the question raised last night as to whether we will be giving fair warning so that everybody that needs to get out can get out! Give me a break!..if there still there now, then they have been there too long already.

Unfortunate but a reality that we should give a warning. If Saddam chooses to strike first then we don't have to wait on the UN. I'm sure our military commanders in the field are aware of the possibilities and are prepared to respond. One of the many reasons for the increased activity in the no-fly zones is to make sure Saddam can't get one of his missiles withing range of the troops.
