DEC 16TH........WILL IT BE SNOW OR NOTHING AT ALL OR (RAIN?)

#1 Postby Lehigh » Mon Dec 15, 2003 3:18 am

Now on thursday.........
There is talk about some event coming through and I agree but to a point.

The radar images continue to bounce back and fourth and it is hard to say what will happen on Thursday.

As I see right now.......it will be all rain at least till the evening hours. This may change and no rain will be forecasted.

If the warm air flow stays in position....even into the evening hours..........rain will continue to fall. (If precip is there}

Now ...............the evening hours do show a cold air mass moving in and that will produce some snow ( If precip is falling}.........................But these images will change automatically so check back to see if things are changing for Thursday.

How much snow................well it depends on how much precip will fall during the evening hours. These images will change automatically and you will see if the pricip will be in place or not. Check back again to see for yourself.

There is a chance that the Northeast couldl see up to a good 6 inches out of it and maybe more if the cold air mass stays in place and the precip is falling and your location in the track of the storm.

This system looks like a typical Nor-Easter/

I have been watching this system for the past couple of days and it really has not changed/

So we shall see as we get closer but it sure does look like a possible snow event. Not a major one but snow at least. :)

Thanks for the analysis, Lehigh! :) We'll see how this transpires the next few days!
