Temperature continues to drop...

The temp is now 24°F ... predicted high is 33° and it is now 7:10 AM. Looks to me like there will be less mixing and more snow...what does everyone else think? (For the ABE area)

I was looking at that too, Colin. 23 at LVI now! :)

I suppose that as the heavier precip arrives, we can expect the temperature to resist rising...but watch that wind direction! An easterly fetch is definitely not a cold one this time of year...

Yes, 23° now ... wind is ENE with the gusts from the N. We'll see what happens! ;) I'm thinking more along the lines of 8-14" here now. :)

We got 5 to 6 inches here, Colin. Now we have tons of freezing rain and sleet at 29 degrees, with a few inches of heavy rain on the way.


I think 12 to 18 inches for you, Colin. Trust me, the coastal is really developing and exporting tremendous amounts of Atlantic moisture northward! You should see the yellow and orange radar returns onshore on the Carolinas and SE Va!!!!! It's heading for you, as HEAVY SNOW!!!!!!

Get your shovel ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I was going to get 12-18" of snow Jeb, but right now, I think the sleet is going to ruin that. :(

The moderate rain is turning all my beautiful snow into slop.

There's a lot more of it coming up from that coastal storm off South Carolina.

Watch out points farther north!! You will get tremendous snows from this!!

That PLOW just slopped a bunch of very heavy wet snow up against my car.


Thanks, its gonna be a job trying to clear that heavy wet slushy snow from all around and under my car.

You gotta watch out for those plows. Sure, they can plow you out, but they can also plow you in real good.

These storms that pack a ton of warm air in the mid levels, they'll give a whole new meaning to the term 'rain on your parade'.

Moderate rain continues in Woodbridge, with a whole boatload down in SE VA and in the eastern Carolinas, about to translate right into my neighborhood.

Now you need the snow shovel in one hand and the umbrella in the other!!

YESSSS!!! At my house it is 23.5 degrees!! DROPPING! NO MIXING!!!! I hope i get 10-14 Inches!!!!!!!!! :D 8-)

Heck... 12-18inches of snow probably wouldn't close schools here.. I would NEED the sleet for a snow day. :o :grrr: I hate USD 501....
