Prayers Wanted..

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Dec 11, 2003 9:04 pm

I know this could have gone in the Prayer Request Thread.. But I decided to put it here. If you choose to move it, it won't offend me.

I need prayers for 2 pretty young ladies tonight. I don't know either of them very well. But I would be very sad if they died. They are both part of the church I attend.

21 year old Rachel Mayer and 16 year old Amber Barton. Rachel is married and Amber is just a sophomore at my alma mater.

They are both having risky surgeries in relation to Cystic Fibrosis. It's the disease they have. I am going to try to talk to someone at my church before Sunday because Rachels' surgery was scheduled for today and Amber's is scheduled for Monday. I {as well as the rest of the congregation} was told by our Pastor that the surgeries as routine as they seem could actually kill them both.

Rachel is having a double lung transplant and Amber has to have part of her pancreas removed I believe. It's making me kinda sad cause even though I don't know either 1 of them that well, I would be sad if they both died cause I have talked to them both a few times and plus.. I've been through a laundry list of tragedies the past 5 years including the deaths of 3 people I know.

Please pray for Rachel and Amber. They need it and their families do..

Thanks for listening... :(
