My First call with Maps.

I will add a Map for the NE as we get closer to the system.

Right now i expect a low to develop down near the western Gulfcoast and move ne up towards the Ohio Valley and then transfer its energy to the Mid Atlantic Coast near the Delmarva coast and that low move north into the NE which imo should draw the battle lines right along i95 from DC North which my area1 intrest explains. The heaviest snows should fall just to the NW of the corridor which as well area1 shows.

Farther south in VA down into the piedmont and western areas of NC and the upsate of SC down into ne GA will have a brief period of snow changing over to sleet and freezing rain for a extended period of time and then it should all go to rain expect in the higher areas of NC.............

The OH/TN Valley's i have a map for itself seeing how these areas will be the first to deal with this system. Area of big concern here is in Eastern KY. Southern OH and sw WV where or how far north the mixed/rain/snow lines goes which could greatly change the amount of snows/Ice in this area........TN looks to be where the battle lines will be drawn for the Snow/Mix/Rain lines. Heaviest snows as seen by map area2 should fall from Northern AR/Southern MO ene up into Northern KY/ Central and southern IN and most of OH except in the nw areas where amounts should be a bit lighter and as well in the southern most areas where mixed precip could be a concern..............

Great maps Harry, although I believe the snow is extended a bit far south into NC and SC (I think parts of NC will get ice but no snow, and SC will get just plain rain).

Great post KOW. Glad to see you are keeping some winter precip for NC, especially the Piedmont. The NWS is saying all rain with temps never dipping below 35 or so. Hope you prove them wrong.

Nice job with the forecast. I'd be cautious about the rain/zr/pl line though - and that's tough to nail down this far out. I suspect we'll swap over to 4-6 hrs of PL up here around ALB, but I may luck out and avoid it being a little bit N of ALB (12 mi.). Will be a close call for many. I'm not seeing I-95 corridor picking up more than a 2-4" snowfall before changeover. Will be interesting to see how this develops.

Pretty much leaving as is. Next update will come tomorrow evening for any adjustments i may need. Which at this point i dont see a need for any.

So yes we are very much still in the running for snow in OH.
