I never heard of Publix until moving to Florida... well actually I did see the "P" on a sign at Pro Player Stadium on TV before I moved to central Florida.
I am used to Stop and Shop's and Shaw's; as well as a few other smaller supermarkets in southern New England, more specifically those in eastern Massachusetts.
