Mine?
1. Frequent Shopper Cards! I could be carrying at least 10 but one by one, they seem to get removed from my wallet (Smoothie King, Hair Salon, 12th cut free, etc.). And then when you really need that Hallmark card - it's gone. Ugh! That's just one example. I hate when a clerk tries to offer one more card. Why can't stores just offer deals without the blasted cards?
2. That annoying sales pitch at the register - if you buy one more, you get the third half off or free......I hate that! I've fallen for this "deal" but then I've wised up. You still have to pay for that second item! I usually say no thank you.
3. If you open a credit card account today, you save 10%!

I totally agree on that one. And did you know that for every one of those applications you submit, points go against your credit because of the "inquiry" that the store's credit department makes into your history.
If you don't go to that store often, if you don't use credit cards much or tend to pay cash at that particular store, or if you have bad credit anyway, it's a good idea not to fall for that one.
As for other pet peeves, the hustle and bustle of busy shoppers and mall parking don't bother me like they did in KY. I noticed when I moved down here, Texans are a patient lot...at least, more so than Kentuckians. There's a joke about a Texas traffic jam is four cars at a four-way stop and everyone else is politely waiting for someone else to go. I fit right in because I'm generally very patient. But in KY, I just hated seeing everyone else get fussy and frazzled. It only made me more frazzled about it all.
My biggest pet peeve -- there are never enough cards for "grandparents." I don't call my grandmother "grandma" nor do I call my grandfather "grandpa." Of course, I know I'm not going to find a card that says "Grandy and Gook" (long story...I was still an infant, she peered into my crib, I smiled and said some sort of baby gibberish and I guess "Gook" was one of the most recognizable words, she ran around saying, "She called me 'Gook!' She called me 'Gook!'" and then it stuck. So she's to blame for that one.

I hate the credit card gimmick, too. My thought is this -- if I wanted a credit card from you I probably would have asked for one.
