The last paragrafh says all about the season being the most longest since the 1952 one when from Febuary until october cyclones formed.

WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF ODETTE AND PETER...THE 2003 TROPICAL CYCLONE SEASON IS NOW THE LONGEST TROPICAL CYCLONE SEASON SINCE 1952...A YEAR IN WHICH THE FIRST TROPICAL STORM FORMED ON FEBRUARY 2ND AND THE LAST ONE DISSIPATED ON OCTOBER 28TH. ANA BECAME THE FIRST TROPICAL STORM OF 2003 BACK ON APRIL 21ST.


:D Interesting! I was wondering about that and if it ever happened before... Holy Crap!! :eek:

Just think this year potentially could have been similar to 1995 as there were about 5 depressions that never reached Tropical Storm Strength so this year very well could have reached 19 Named Storms if even 2-3 or those had developed and also if SAL and the Atlantic was not so quiet in September.

Just giving my what ifs. :lol:
