I'd sooner invest stock in ENRON(if it were still around) than to trust anything accu forecasts beyond 24 hours. :roll:

Accu-weather long range forecasts = the GFS. And the GFS for that far away is not going to be able to predict snow with any degree of accuracy.

i agree... i remember last year inaccuwx had a blizzard set for here only 5 days out... i think it was 40 degrees and sunny on that day....

Do you think an arctic outbreak will occur around the 12/20-12-23 time period? If this does happen, how does it look for the southern states finally getting some wintry precip? Any comments are welcomed!

Its possible...but right now im thinking most of the EUS will be dry and bitterly cold.

The real fun starts the first week of january

The pattern does seem to be making a change in the right direction!

I would imagine they updated the forecast in the one to five days in between.

I agree with you John, Accu-Wx is not the best long range forecast to use.

I agree as well. We would think after all these incorrect forecasts five even up to Accu-Weather's 15 Day Outlook... they would realize they shouldn't issue such forecasts.

However, most long range forecasts are inaccurate days in advance, hence my bringing up that Accu-Weather is more accurate as the fifth day becomes the fourth, third and so forth.
