Rain Trouble in the DR

This is not going to be good for folks in the DR. Although it looks like Odette is holding steady (probably because earlier reports from recon had the surface center displaced by 8 NM from the flight center (tilted a little)...and because...heck...it's December)...the fact that Odette is moving slower than projected is bad.

You can already see it as some very deep red tops are developing overland as a result of the orographic lift from the mountians.

If anyone has reports from the DR and or Haiti...please post them...it's going to be a long night.

Yes It will be a long night for those folks there and I will try to gather info from there by the way of radio broadcasts that I get here from the DR but maybe it wont be until sunday before word comes out of what has happened in that country.
