...CENTRAL WASHINGTON ME-COASTAL HANCOCK ME-COASTAL WASHINGTON ME- INTERIOR HANCOCK ME-SOUTHERN PENOBSCOT ME-

... BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...

SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS DOWNEAST MAINE THIS AFTERNOON... BECOMING HEAVY AT TIMES TONIGHT. SNOW... HEAVY AT TIMES... WILL THEN CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 18 TO 24 INCHES WITH LOCALIZED ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO 30 INCHES POSSIBLE BEFORE THE SNOWS DIMINISHES LATER SUNDAY NIGHT. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO SUSTAINED SPEEDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS BY THIS EVENING WITH SIMILAR WINDS PERSISTING THROUGH SUNDAY. THE STRONGEST GUSTS ARE LIKELY ALONG THE DOWNEAST COAST. THE STRONG WINDS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO EXTENSIVE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW... PRODUCING NEAR ZERO VISIBILITIES AND WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES.
