#1 Postby Guest » Fri Dec 05, 2003 5:43 pm

As i see it there hasnt been any problems here at all today (editing post or deleting them) or late last night when wwbb went down. So why not stick around???? This board dont crash and as well isnt overly moderated at some have said............BTW i am a mod for this forum which goes without saying it takes alot for me to push a button kinda think of me as the mod at wwbb   ................

Either way guys i hope you all stick around...............How can you top it. No crashes and no down time and not so heavly moderated as some would like you to believe...............

Either way i still will frequent both boards........Well when the other is operating of course...........Have a good night! Thanks again for stopping in!!!!!

I like this board, really do. However WWBB has a loyal following, that posts regularally, especially in interesting times. This board had major down times when nobody is posting, even today there was a lack of model analysis that we usually get on WWBB during an event. I will probably post here more as many WWBB posters seem to have adopted this board as their second.

There is nothing wrong with this board. It's a very nice and reliable board. However, it is still in its "how much for philly" stage. I'm more interested in the extreme details of the weather. 500 MB hgts, 850 temps, etc. This stuff is over the head of many people on this board. On the other hand, WWBB is full of people with expertise on the finer details. It has nothing to do with the mods or anything like that, the plain truth is WWBB has the content many of the "more into" the weather folks are looking for. I know RNS hides out here and this is one of the reasons why I come here, to see his opinion. A very talented met he is. For example, if HM, DT, and MT were to come here and have a conversation, a lot of the folks here would be say, What in the world are these guys talking about. There is nothing wrong with that but at this point I'm looking to continue to learn the finer details that I can learn from folks like HM. I have been studying the weather now for over 20 years, I'm past the part about how clouds form, how water evaporates and is used again, etc.
"The woman" will sometimes read this stuff and then ask me about certain terms she sees. Once she asked me what the NAO meant. I said, you'll never understand. Then she gets mad. I asked if she even knew how a cloud formed, she said no. Now, can you imagine me telling her about the Icelandic low and what not to try to explain NAO. Would she have any clue what I'm talking about? Nope.
Again, this is an excellent board and keep up the good work guys.

Well bring them on over guys. Plenty of room here for expansion................Hell we are all still learning from eachother and that even goes for the Pros. I would say we are ALL HARD CORE "More into weather" Folks! HM, DT, and MT i think would post here more if they REALLY knew the advantages to this board.....:ie "private weather firms etc"........And the other advantages i have pointed out above.............And yea we can handle thier heated discussions and such............LOL...........Thats imo how you learn from eachother is those heated debates and such like i seen on wwbb. Just gotta leave out the Trolls which of course we all pretty much know who they are................Anyways thanks for the great responses guys. Very much appericated. BTW when are we gonna see a Ji classic on here????LOL
For those on this site (regulars) Ji is the comedian of wwbb and has had some of the funniest threads overthere. Remember now its all in fun so dont get your tails in a ruffle!!!!!!!!!LOL........

I will be around for many years in the future. I have no plans to move. The WWB was the first weather board I discoverd.
