1/3" accumulation on grassy surfaces as of 1am 12/5/03, had a heavy burst between 11-11:20pm, radar and visaul obs shows light snow & sleet with generally unimpressive echos for remainder of night. Having been labeled the biggest fool in weather history over at WWBB today I now ask when can I expect the second part of the pummelling that I so unwisely failed to buy into.

53....Always enjoyed your focus on DC being that I live here.....To be sure, you have taken some unnecessary abuse at WWBB....As we all know, part 2 hasnt totally materialized yet, so you may not bust too badly, particularly in DC.......I think some, myself included, have been rubbed the wrong way by your results oriented approach......But certainly analogs, historical data/trends, have an important part in forecasting along with model/pattern interpretation, etc........IMHO, Your 79/80 agenda seems to color your forecasts and your spin control afterwords if your off, too much.....I would stop worrying so much about whether you can reconcile a forecast or an event with the analog, and focus a little more on the pattern/models etc.....I think most respect you/KA and the track record, but as long as all your forecasts and post-event interpretations are consumed with that underlying agenda, you will have detractors......Good luck this winter....Matt
