Looks like the recon plane may have encountered problems. Report number 6 had it at 24.2N/87.3W, but the next report (#7) puts it at 26.4N/88.3W. So it looks like the plane turned around and is heading back to Biloxi for some reason. Maybe they saw that Monterrey has already called it Odette so there's no reason to fly all the way there. :wink:

Maybe they found some reason not to fly out or maybe the plane had mechanical issues. I wonder what those hunters think about having to fly to check out a system in December lol

Report #8 -- 28.5N/88.9W, almost back to Biloxi. So no recon today. With MRY already calling it Odette, and Dvorak estimating 2.5 (35kts), and TS watches (or a warning) out for Haiti, and the fact that it's the late afternoon update, it'll almost certainly be upgraded to Odette next hour.
