What a very long 2003 hurricane season
Wow a very long 2003 season from april with the formation of Ana to the now formation of TD#20 possibly tropical storm Odette in december.This has been one of the most active seasons on record in the total formation of tropical systems TD'S,Tropical storms,Hurricanes and intense hurricanes.Very few seasons in the past can match what this 2003 season has been from start to finish.

And the models performed very well this season only some minor errors but in general they did well on the tracks especially the NHC guidance forecast track.With Isabel they did a fantastic job on the track of that monster.And on this caribbean area for many days the global models haved been jumping on it and look now what is out there.

SST's are warm enough to support a TC until it gets out of the Caribbean...and I'd bet it's a TS already...even though I didn't think it would develop too much yesterday.
Unbelivable season...a Cat 5 in the open Atlantic...Ana in April and now another TS in December.
Perhaps with Global warming underway we have to extend hurricane season from April to December?

Mike anything is possible with the global climate changes that man has done around the world.And another thing Mike and all the forecasters all haved worked overtime this season right?
