GFDL now on board, honking "Perfect 2"???

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

GFDL now on board, honking "Perfect 2"???

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Thu Dec 04, 2003 7:36 am

GFDL (not great in cold mid-lats) is on board. Timing is everything and it will be interesting to see where the Mid-Atlantic coastal Low develops and tracks. If "Odette" were to rapidly intensify (55MPH TS) and the Low hugs the coast before pulling out, this could get dicey.

BTW, I lived in Portland, ME during The Perfect Storm and covered it for 2 days (with 0 sleep  ), so I never use comparisons to it lightly.

How bizzare...I'm looking out the window and it is snowing :x . This is the first time I've seen snow and done a Model Map. Cool.

It is very cool. Southern New England bracing for a possible snowstorm this weekend (though NWS hasn't bought it yet  ) and Odette soon to be in the Carib. Amazing 8-)

In a perfect world, there would always be tropical activity and eastern US snowstorms going on at the same time. 8-)
