12z GFDL has caribbean system going out to sea

No threat to the US from this system at all.The other models too are going north and then NE.

It is nearly impossible for a system developing where this one has to affect the U.S. this late in the season.

Definitely 100% absolutely NO possible threat to the U.S. Primarily a rainfall threat for Jamaica, eastern Cuba, and the DR. Not too much of a threat for PR and the VI area, most likely.

I have three issues on this, please know that I am not thinking this system will affect the U.S.

1.) If the system were further to the west-(northwest) and moved northeastward it would have more of a chance if not definitely affect the U.S.

2.) If the steering pattern is such that it moves more northerly than northeasterly, than it would at least come close enough to the U.S.

3.) The cold front is currently back across extreme southeast Texas and not making a b-line toward the east, as the low attached to the cold and warm fronts is moving northeastward from SW Arkansas.
