Yes Linda loo and Dennis....there IS a Santa Claus!! :D

Never stop believing in the spirit of St.Nick..it's what keeps us young at heart :D

My children have, often over the years since they gained some "wisdom",tried to convince me that there is no Santa.....they can't sway me over...I won't budge!!

Nope, no way!!

My firm ground has finally reconvinced them that there is a Santa..he's alive and well in all of our hearts :D

Blessings,Raine

I was 7 when I snuck down at about 3am to see if santa had come yet- found the tree with all the toys, a train set circling the tree and two new bikes (one for me and one for my sister)... and my dad out cold on the couch with a stick-on bow still in his hand. That's when I started to realize

I was 16 when my parents broke all the growing up news on me: No tooth fairy, no santa, no easter bunny, all rolled up with my first sex talk. I dont' think they realized that everything they had to tell me I'd picked up at school long before then LOL But if I'd still believed it might have been traumatic!

My friends tried telling me he did not exist for those years up until I was about 8. Of course, I both knew otherwise and decided not to pursue it further.

Santa was reaffirmed in our household after I was married and especially when the boys arrived.

In all my years since, all 57 of them, the only year he hasn't shown up was 2002, a year ago, when the family was in disarray, words of anger and pain accompanied our gifts, and Emma was in Chicago.

The good news, of course, that he spent some extra time with her while she was there and this year, Santa has asked us to make the trip to San Diego on Christmas Eve so we can be together on warm and more peaceful terms again.

The joke around our house is that I will be sneaking over to my childrens house, when they are adults and parents, and loading the tree up with Santa gifts while they sleep....I would hate for them to wake up and wonder why Santa had skipped their house!

*wink

Steve, I know this year will make up for last!

Because I have a younger brother my parents told me in grade school (my brother is 4 years younger so I had to understand his view point also)

About 2 weeks before Christmas when I was 6, my older sister showed me the contents of the closet my parents used to store all of the gifts they had bought for us. I was not all that traumatized to learn there was no Santa Claus - in fact, I thought it was cool that I was in on "the secret" (since I still had friends who believed in Santa Claus, and 2 younger siblings who also believed).

I do know the truth and remember it as being a gradual awakening when I was around 5 years old. I still believe in Santa Claus as the spirit of love and giving.
