utterly ridiculous the lengths people will go through to save a few bucks, and what retailers will go through to make a few bucks. The sad part is, most of the "sales" aren't really bargains after all. Yes some are, to lure the shoppers in, but some of the specials, are really no change in orice. New sign with price on it, new display and voila, quick sale. I personnaly have seen this at our local WalMart.

Crazy it is!! I know, I worked it!!! I LOVE shopping this time of year, but I hate the fact that some nutty women go too far!!

And I still have to chuckle that WalMart makes the headlines so much!!

Ameriwx2003 - I do a lot of my shopping online too now. I started doing that last year and began this year's xmas shopping this past February. I hate crowds! And fighting for a parking spot. Not to mention the crowds you face in the mall and stores. It's also the prime time for someone to rob you - just grab your wallet, purchases, purse and off they run.

But this sad story really brings it all home - I've never shopped the day after Thanksgiving, I used to always work that day years ago in a doctor's office (we worked xmas eve day too, new year's eve day, etc.) - but after reading this story I doubt I'll ever venture out on this day. This poor woman! Hope she recovers quickly. You have to wonder if she'll ever shop the day after Thanksgiving again.....

Ya know....what is SOOOOOOOO important that one must venture out and put one's life at risk??? I *think* our WalMart had a 27" color tv on sale yesterday for 99$'s......regular price 129$'s, now if you can't afford the 129$'s, what makes you think you can afford 99$'s?? I don't get it....I would just as soon pay the extra 30$'s than to put up with the crowds, absoulutly crazy!!!

My wife and I went out yesterday morning. We had a small list,( we accually just wanted to see what it was like )and weren't in any kind of hurry. We couldn't believe the people in the stores. Parking lots were full, carts were full and lines were long. we couldn't help but laugh. It was just funny seeing so many people trying to get everything in one 6 hour time frame. But I did not encounter one fight, discourtious person, not even drivers.

My father went to Wal-Mart with one of our neighbor's to get the TV at the Wal-Mart just down the road. They must have only had a couple 19 inch sets because they were the front five to ten people in line and were told that there weren't any 19" TV's left.
