Maybe share the comparative data so we don't have to track it down? That would be appreciated.
I did. Go back a page and look at my post regarding what the Euro has progged for surface temps compared to the HRRR and the ARW in particular but this is all public available information that you can also readily track on tropical tidbits or Pivotal Weather.
There are a lot of newbies on events like this that have no idea how to do that. Anyway, I appreciate any and all posts. Enjoy the event!

Not a professional MET! My posts are merely speculation.
Re: Texas Winter 2025-2026
Straying a bit from the "Texas" part of the thread, but we've got about 75% snow 25% sleet on the ground here in Norman!

So we shouldn't worry about the dry slot out west?

Wouldn't be surprised to see an ice storm warning upgrade go into effect with the latest HRRR ice accumulation trends down across portions of southern HC/SC TX region. Concerning totals approaching near to just over a half inch in many locations.

Not at all. Moisture is not going to be an issue for DFW

Exactly this is why there's so much historical talk or extreme model runs up here with snow totals... The moisture feed is like we never see in the middle of the winter
I do hope y'all overperform on the snow though

My fault. A dry slot is occuring but will fill in nicely later and for the duration.

For reference, nearly all 00z short range models show 1-2 qpf for DFW just through noonish tomorrow . Doesn’t even include the Saturday night / Sunday morning stuff

Re: Texas Winter 2025-2026
Well I think we will beat the 2am freeze here. Freeze line is 15 miles from me in Lindale. Tons of water on ground and roads from moderate rain all day. That will freeze by morning along with anything that falls tonight.
